Ok, here's what I know: 1. I HATE our stock brakes. 2. I don't want to spend $500 on replacement stock brakes that are slotted & cross-drilled. 3. I don't have $2k-$3k to spend on a brake upgrade package. 4. I want something that will improve my braking but not necessarily yank my teeth out. 5. The 3000GT brake upgrade is 12.5" dia. compared to our stock 11" dia. therefore pedal effort should be decreased assuming equal stopping distances. 6. If these brakes do not work any better than ours, why would Mitsubishi put them on a 3800lb. sports car? 7. If these brakes work the same as ours, why aren't 3000GT owners switching to Z rotors (they are about $50 cheaper each)? 8. Can you imagine a 3000GT with 300ZX brakes? LOL, it's not a pretty thought. 9. The area on the rotor that is swept per revolution (assuming identical pads) is 15% larger on the 3000GT than on the 300ZX. 10. Is the piston diameter equal between the 3000GT and the 300ZX calipers?
